2022 THON Showcase Set For January 24

Penn State students will once again have the opportunity to show off their unique talents and compete #ForTheKids at the fifth annual THON Showcase.

This yea’s in-person event will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 24 in Schwab Auditorium. Tickets for the livestream and in-person event can be purchased through THON’s website. Livestream viewers will receive a link for access, while in-person attendees will receive a virtual ticket via email.

The showcase will feature 17 contestants ranging from singers, dancers, and bands. At the end of the event, a panel of judges will select four acts as grand prize winners. These contestants will receive a donation to their organization and have the opportunity to perform live during THON Weekend.

The following organizations will perform at this year’s showcase:

  • Olivia Notto and Paige Garpstas: IDC
  • Eclipse
  • “Air GoR&Rdon’s” Committee
  • “Wizard’s of Waverly Grace” Committee
  • Tapestry
  • PSU Crossfit
  • Orchesis
  • Whiplash
  • Penn State Dance Alliance
  • Singing Lions
  • FOTO
  • Emily Bowman’s DR Committee
  • The Statesmen
  • Apollo
  • Vole Penn State Dance Company
  • Urban Dance Troupe

At last year’s virtual showcase, Urban Dance Troupe took home the first-place prize of $2,500. It also received the chance to dance during THON’s 2021 virtual livestream.
