Penn State, CVIM To Host COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic January 26

Penn State will once again work alongside Centre Volunteers in Medicine and host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Bryce Jordan Center next week.

The clinic will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26. There, students, employees, and community members ages 12 and up can receive first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, plus booster shots.

Appointments for the clinic are available online, and students will receive priority access. Walk-ins through Gate B are also welcome.

The BJC’s clinic will offer doses of the Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines, although the latter two are available only to those 18 and up. Moderna is offering a third vaccine dose for immunocompromised adults.

Anyone heading to the clinic needs to wear a mask and bring photo identification. Don’t forget to bring your vaccine card if you’re heading for a second dose or booster shot.

Wondering if you’re eligible for a booster shot? Here’s what CVIM recommends:

  • Pfizer: 12+ and fully vaccinated more than five months ago
  • Moderna: 18+ and fully vaccinated more than five months ago
  • Johnson & Johnson: 18+ and fully vaccinated more than two months ago

Although vaccines are free, clinic attendees will need to sign a consent form upon arrival. They’ll also need to stick around for 15 minutes after their shot as a precaution.
