Mii Time: Creating Penn State Figures As Miis
Almost everyone has played on a Nintendo Wii at one point or another, and one of the best parts about the game is designing your character, or Mii, in the Mii Channel. Although there aren’t many options to choose from, it’s still pretty fun to make look-alikes for your friends and family.
Inspired by a love for Dear Old State, we chose to dust off our Wii and turn some prominent Penn State people into Miis. For the full experience, we recommend grabbing a speaker and turning on the Mii Channel theme song.
The Willard Preacher
The Mii Channel wardrobe is slim pickings, but we were still able to find the Willard Preacher’s signature red color. It’s not a hoodie, but it still does the job.
Anna Camden
The Mii Channel doesn’t have many hairstyle options, so this one will have to do. If only she was wearing her Lady Lions uniform. Sigh.
Eric Barron
President Barron has just three months left on the job, so he is clearly very tired. The man needs a beer and a vacation as soon as possible.
Sue Paterno
Sue looks better than ever. Always repping the Penn State blue!
Katie Feeney
A little birdie told us that Miis are really good at TikTok dances. Maybe the Mii Channel is where Katie learned her moves.
Ty Burrell
We needed to get some alumni in here, and what better alum to Mii-ify than Phil Dunphy? Ty, if you’re reading this, please come on our podcast.
James Franklin
If we’re being honest, James Franklin looks awful here. That’s all we have to say.
Neeli Bendapudi
This is a Neeli Bendapudi blog. Penn State’s future madame president is absolutely glowing, and she looks ravishing in blue.
After we finished making our Miis, we sent them over the Mii Parade to blow off some steam. Everybody is so speedy! We hate to say it, but we think Eric Barron won the race. Not too bad for an old guy.
