Report: Cleveland Cavaliers Sign Tim Frazier To 10-Day Contract

Former Penn State basketball star Tim Frazier has reportedly found a new home in Cleveland for the time being.

According to The Athletic‘s Shams Charania, Frazier will sign a 10-day contract with the Cavaliers.

Frazier appeared in 10 games this season for the Orlando Magic and averaged only 3.7 points and 3.3 assists. He’s appeared in 287 NBA games across his career.

The Cavaliers are now the ninth team Frazier’s played for since joining the league in 2014, joining the Wizards, Bucks, Pistons, and more.

A signing like this was hardly a surprise from Cleveland after guards Darius Garland, Caris Levert, and Rajon Rondo are all expected to miss a little bit of time following the All-Star break. If Garland’s back injury is serious, this could be a big opportunity for Frazier to gain some real-deal playing time for Cleveland.

Once Frazier’s signing is official, he’ll join former Penn State star Lamar Stevens in Cleveland.

Frazier ranks seventh in Penn State history with 1,543 total points. To this day, he holds a program record with 641 assists.
