Poke Fresh To Open On East Calder Way

A new poke spot is seemingly set to open in downtown State College sometime soon.

According to an Instagram post, Poke Fresh will open at 328 E. Calder Way in the former location of California Tanning Express.

Poke is a common dish in Hawaiian cuisines. Traditionally, it features raw, diced fish tossed with rice, vegetables, and sauce. It’s commonly customized with other fresh ingredients to spice things up.

Information about Poke Fresh is limited, but hours listed on Google claim the new restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Poke Fresh is one of several new joints popping up in downtown State College. Last week, Lupita’s, an authentic Mexican spot, opened on Beaver Avenue. Antifragile Brewing Company, the borough’s first-ever brewery, is also set to open in the same shopping center on East Calder Way this spring.

We’ll update this post with more information as it becomes available.
