Three-Star Safety Conrad Hussey Commits To Penn State Football

James Franklin is hot on the recruiting trail, folks.

Three-star safety Conrad Hussey announced Monday afternoon that he’s joining the Nittany Lions over Colorado and Coastal Carolina, among others. He’s the fourth prospect to verbally commit to Penn State’s Class of 2023 this month.

“Many times in our lives, we come upon a crossroad and there is immense pressure to make the right decision for yourself, your leaders and last but not least — your family,” Hussey wrote. “With God’s guidance and the love and support of my family, I have decided to commit to Penn State.”

Hussey, a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, plays his high school ball at St. Thomas Aquinas. The 6’0″, 190-pound defensive back is rated as the 85th-best Florida prospect and is the No. 47-ranked safety in the 2023 class, according to 247Sports.

He joins Penn State’s Class of 2023 that is ranked No. 4 in the nation and No. 1 in the Big Ten. The class now boasts 11 players, with Hussey being the only safety so far. Five-star offensive lineman Alex Birchmeier and four-star offensive tackle J’Ven Williams currently headline the group.
