Woodring’s Floral Gardens To Close South Allen Street Location May 14

Downtown State College florist Woodring’s Floral Gardens, located at 145 S. Allen St., is closing its doors and consolidating with its Bellefonte location, according to a sign posted on the store’s window.

The store will officially close after its last day on Saturday, May 14, per an employee. You can find the florist’s other location at 125 S. Allegheny St. in Bellefonte.

“After careful consideration we have decided to move our business and combine with our Bellefonte Store,” the sign read. “Having been in this location since 1976 it was a difficult decision to make and a lot of factors were taken into account.”

Woodring’s will continue to cover its current delivery area, now just from a different location.

The florist’s Bellefonte location has been open since 1922 and has been serving the central Pennsylvania community ever since. For more information on Woodring’s moving forward, check out the store’s Facebook page and website.
