Penn State wrestling’s future just continues to get better.

Class of 2023 star Tyler Kasak announced Saturday afternoon that he’s committing to Cael Sanderson’s program. Kasak, who attends Bethlehem Catholic High School, boasts an impressive 79-3 record throughout his three years there, according to PA-Wrestling.com.

“I am excited to announce the I will be furthering my academic and athletic career at Penn State University,” Kasak wrote. “I would like to thank everybody who supported me to get to the point I’m at in my life right now.”

In high school, Kasak has spent time wrestling at both 138 and 145 pounds. Most recently, he dominated during his junior season with an absurd 44-1 record. He finished first in his district and region all three years, and he even snagged a state title for the 2020-21 season.

According to The Wrestling Room guru Pat Mineo, Kasak may forgo his senior season of high school to train at David Taylor’s M2 training center and the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club.

Kasak is the latest big-name recruit to commit to Sanderson’s program. Over the past few months, the Nittany Lions have garnered commitments from state champion Dalton Perry, Class of 2022 star Connor Pierce, and Ohio State transfer Will Betancourt.
