SPA To Host Ashe For Concert & Conversation October 6

Penn State’s Student Programming Association (SPA), in collaboration with the Gender Equity Center, will host singer and songwriter Ashe for a concert at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 6.

In addition to the concert, Ashe will take part in a conversation in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The event will be held in Alumni Hall, and doors open at 6 p.m. You can register online here.

“The lecture will be a ‘Concert and Conversation’, consisting of Ashe performing some of her most popular songs while also sharing her experiences and talking with the audience,” SPA said on its website.

Ashe is well-known for her single, “Moral of the Story.” The San Jose native released her debut album, Ashlyn, in 2021, which features songs “I’m Fine” and “When I’m Older.”

Next month, Ashe is expected to release her sophomore album, Rae.

Like every SPA event, Ashe’s concert is free for Penn State students and funded by their student-initiated fee.
