Days For Girls To Host Menstrual Equity Event October 25

Nonprofit Days For Girls will host an event at the HUB on Tuesday, October 25, to help destigmatize menstruation and teach students about menstrual equity.

The group will host social entrepreneur Chelsea VonChaz in a discussion regarding menstrual freedom in the Freeman Auditorium from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. VonChaz is the founder of #HappyPeriod, which provides free menstrual products to impoverished communities and aims to ignite positive conversation around periods and female care.

VonChaz has been featured by People Magazine, Los Angeles Times, and The Revolt as their ‘go-to girl’ for menstrual care advocacy.

Days For Girls will also be tabling throughout the day and offering a Q&A with Days For Girls International Talk.

Days For Girls PSU is part of a global effort to increase awareness and access to menstrual products for women around the world who otherwise can’t afford them.

During spring 2021, Days For Girls PSU was awarded “Organization Of The Semester” due to its advocacy and sustainability efforts.
