Penn State Men’s Hockey Moves Up Two Spots In Latest USCHO Poll

Penn State men’s hockey is now ranked No. 16 in the latest USCHO Poll, moving up two more spots from last week.

Penn State moves up after another series sweep. This time, St. Thomas fell victim to the Nittany Lions. Penn State blew out St. Thomas 6-2 in game one and then followed suit with a 3-2 overtime victory the following night.

Penn State is among four other Big Ten teams that are ranked. Minnesota is ranked No. 1, followed by Michigan (No. 4), Ohio State (No. 11), and Notre Dame (No. 12).

Guy Gadowsky’s 6-0 team will next travel to Wisconsin for a two-game series against the Badgers with puck drop scheduled for 8 p.m. on October 28 and 29.

Meanwhile, Penn State women’s hockey remains at No. 12 in the latest poll. The Nittany Lions are 4-4-1 and defeated Franklin Pierce 6-0 on Sunday. Their next matchup is at 2 p.m. today, October 24, against Franklin Pierce.

After its game against Franklin Pierce, Penn State’s next series is at Lindenwood on October 28 and 29, with puck drop set for 8:10 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
