Transfer Portal Roundup: Week Eight

As No. 13 Penn State football had a dominant performance in the annual White Out game, a few former Penn Staters were also in action around the country.

In comparison to the first half of the season, week eight was awfully quiet for former Penn Staters, though a good portion of this can be blamed on schools like Kentucky and Florida having bye weeks.

Here’s a look at how the sparse number of active transfers played this week.

Mac Hippenhammer, Miami (Ohio)

Mac Hippenhammer recorded five receptions for 32 yards in Miami’s 16-10 loss to Western Michigan. He is now up to 29 receptions and 360 yards on the season and has tallied four touchdowns.

Daniel George, Akron

Wide receiver Daniel George caught four passes for 31 yards in Akron’s loss to Kent State, which moved the Zips’ record to 1-7 on the season. With his most recent performance, George now boasts 472 receiving yards and 45 receptions on the year.

Cole Brevard, Purdue

Defensive tackle Cole Brevard recorded one tackle in Purdue’s 35-24 loss to Wisconsin. Brevard has now recorded four tackles on the season.

Judge Culpepper, Toledo

Defensive tackle Judge Culpepper recorded three tackles in Toledo’s 34-27 loss to Buffalo. The former Penn Stater has been quietly building on a productive season, totaling 32 tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble this year.

TJ Jones, UAB

Wide receiver TJ Jones hauled in one pass that resulted in a loss of four yards in UAB’s 20-17 loss to Western Kentucky. This season, Jones has totaled 19 receptions for 160 yards.
