CATA To Reduce Services Week Of Thanksgiving

CATA will reduce its service hours between November 19 and November 25 as a result of Thanksgiving week. All CATA services will be unavailable on Thanksgiving day, according to a press release sent out by the organization on Tuesday.

Beginning Monday, November 21, the Blue Loop will run on a 20-minute frequency from 7:15 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. before increasing to every 10 minutes until 10:30 p.m. After 10:30 p.m., the frequency will drop back to 20 minutes until 1 a.m. Blue Loop services won’t be available on Saturday, November 25, and Sunday, November 26.

No White Loop buses will be available throughout the week.

The Red Link will run on a 25-minute frequency Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. On Saturday, November 19, the frequency will change to 50-minute increments between 8:40 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. The Red Link won’t run on Sunday, November 20.

For community service routes, the buses will still run on schedule except for the HU, RC, VE, and WE routes. These buses won’t operate during this reduced service. This includes University Park routes, like the Loop and Link services.

CATA’s services CATAGO and CATARIDE will run as usual except on Thanksgiving Day. CATA customer offices will also be closed but open to reservations and calls on Friday, November 25.

Normal bus schedules will resume on November 26. For more information, visit CATA’s website.
