Penn State Men’s Hockey Falls To No. 7 In Latest USCHO Poll

Penn State men’s hockey fell one spot to No. 7 in the latest USCHO Poll after splitting its home series against Michigan State.

The fall to No. 7 comes after Penn State rallied to win game one 4-3 in overtime and lost 7-3 in game two. The series is Penn State’s third consecutive series split, with Michigan and Minnesota coming prior to the Spartans.

Penn State had only moved up in the polls since the beginning of the season. This week’s poll is the first time Penn State has moved down all season.

The Nittany Lions are now third in the Big Ten, trailing two points behind Minnesota and one behind Michigan State.

Next, the Nittany Lions will face Alaska at home this Tuesday, November 22 and Wednesday, November 23. Puck drop is scheduled 7 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.
