Ji’Ayir Brown Accepts Senior Bowl Invite

Penn State safety Ji’Ayir Brown has become the first Nittany Lion to accept an invitation to the 2023 Reese’s Senior Bowl, its official Twitter account announced Sunday.

Brown leads Penn State’s defense with three interceptions, 50 solo tackles, and two forced fumbles. He also has tallied three sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss throughout the course of his senior campaign. Earlier in August 2021, Brown was named to the Bednarik Award watch list along with teammate Joey Porter Jr.

The Trenton, New Jersey native has totaled nine interceptions and two touchdowns throughout his Penn State career, including a scoop-and-score against Rutgers last week.

The Reese’s Senior Bowl will take place on Saturday, February 4 in Mobile, Alabama. It will give players the opportunity to play in front of NFL scouts before the draft takes place.

Last year, Penn State had a total of six players compete in the Reese’s Senior Bowl including Jahan Dotson and Jaquan Brisker.
