Penn State To Wear White In Rose Bowl
On Tuesdays Mondays, we wear pink white.
The Rose Bowl Game announced on Twitter Wednesday afternoon that Penn State will don its road white uniforms in Pasadena.
No. 8 Utah, as the higher-ranked team, will wear red jerseys. A higher ranking also indicates that the Utes’ band will perform the national anthem and get the first crack at a halftime performance. The higher-ranked team in the College Football Playoff Rankings has earned these distinctions in recent years.
Penn State wore its road white jerseys in the 1995 and 2009 Rose Bowls, donning basic blues in 2017. Pictures from the 1923 Rose Bowl appear to show both teams wearing dark colors, so you can chalk this up as the third time that Penn State has worn white.
The Nittany Lions also wore white jerseys in their 2022 Outback Bowl game against Arkansas.
The 2023 Rose Bowl will kick off at 5 p.m. EST on Monday, January 2, from the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California.
