Penn State Baseball Releases 2023 Schedule

Although Happy Valley is currently getting hammered with snow, baseball season will be here before we know it.

Penn State baseball released its entire 55-game 2023 schedule on Thursday.

Penn State opens its season with a three-game series at Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, from February 17-19. The Nittany Lions are then scheduled for consecutive weekends in Cary, North Carolina, with matchups against Maine, Northern Illinois, Monmouth, Wagner, Dartmouth, and Holy Cross before traveling to nearby Chapel Hill for a matchup against the North Carolina Tarheels.

The Nittany Lions have one more series on the road against Brown from March 10-12 before their home opener against Navy on March 15. From there, Rob Cooper’s squad hosts Georgetown for a three-game series from March 17-19. Penn State’s final matchup of its first home stand is against Binghamton on March 21.

Penn State opens up conference play with a three-game series at Michigan from March 24-26.

It has matchups against six non-conference opponents from when it faces Michigan until the end of the season. A total of eight matchups against Big Ten opponents are on Penn State’s schedule.

Penn State will then close out its regular season with a three-game series against Maryland from May 18-20.

The Nittany Lions went 26-29 in 2022, including a first-round win against Iowa in the Big Ten Tournament in Omaha. It was Penn State’s first win in the tournament since 2008.
