Former Penn State Defensive Tackle Fatorma Mulbah Transfers To West Virginia

Former Penn State defensive tackle Fatorma Mulbah announced via Twitter on Thursday that he’s transferring to West Virginia.

This marks the second consecutive day that West Virginia has taken a player from the Nittany Lions, as on Wednesday, wideout Devin Carter flipped to the Mountaineers after committing to James Franklin’s squad right after the Rose Bowl.

Mulbah, who announced in a Twitter post last Thursday that he was entering the transfer portal, has three years of eligibility remaining.

In the post, Mulbah thanked James Franklin and the entire coaching staff and wrote that he was “overwhelmed with gratitude for the tremendous opportunity I have had to play football for Penn State.”

This past season, Mulbah appeared in all 12 games regular-season games for Penn State and was an Academic All-Big Ten recipient. In 2021, Mulbah totaled four tackles in six appearances and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.

The Harrisburg native will now call Morgantown home as he joins Neal Brown’s squad, which is coming off a disappointing 5-7 2022 campaign. Penn State opens its 2023 season with a home matchup against West Virginia on Saturday, September 2.
