Penn State Men’s Hockey’s Liam Souliere Named To Richter Award Watch List

Penn State men’s hockey goaltender Liam Souliere was placed on the Mike Richter Award watch list, the team announced Friday. The award is presented annually to the top NCAA Division I goaltender since 2014.

Souliere, a junior, has a 15-4-0 record with a 2.10 goals-against average this season and a .923 save percentage. He’s second in the Big Ten in both categories, while he places No. 12 and No. 10 nationally, respectively. His 15 wins is the second-most in the nation.

Souliere and the No. 5 Nittany Lions take on No. 17 Michigan State at 7 p.m. on Friday, January, 13, and Saturday, January 14, in East Lansing.
