Your Guide To Sending THON 2023 Dancer Mail

THON Weekend is less than a month away, folks! On Friday, February 17, hundreds of dancers will stand and begin their 46-hour physical and mental battle.

Of course, standing for nearly two full days is no easy feat, so one way you can help boost their spirits is by sending them dancer mail.

To ensure that your friend or family member receives their heartfelt letter, drawing, or package, follow our guide below.

Deadline

The deadline to submit dancer mail is Wednesday, February 8. All letters and packages must be postmarked or dropped off in room 324 in the HUB by this date.

Addressing Your Mail

If you can’t drop the mail off in person, be sure to address it using this format:

Penn State Dance Marathon (Mail Call)
Attn: [Dancer’s name] [Dancer’s number] (ex: Reilly Smith 17A)
227D Hetzel Union Building (HUB)
University Park, PA 16802

What To Send

A little encouragement goes a long way. Whether you want to send a brief note or a heartfelt message, your dancer will undoubtedly appreciate it when they’re hours into their loooong journey.

Perhaps you can keep their mind sharp with trivia, share a funny story, or encourage them to learn 50 digits of pi to pass the time. You could always send them a deck of cards or a handheld cornhole game, too.
