Submissions Now Open For Official HUB Lounge Name

Are you looking to leave your mark on Penn State? You now can. Literally.

Penn State is accepting submissions to name room 008 in the HUB, which is the lounge near the aquarium and Panda Express.

You’ve heard of Alumni Hall and Heritage Hall, but this is your chance to spice up the HUB with a name like the ~Nittany Nest~.

The contest is open to all full-time undergraduate and graduate students at University Park. Winners will receive a brand-new iPad and a room plaque in their honor.

Submissions will be accepted until Friday, February 10, and can be submitted here. The room can’t be named after a person or place and “should embody the spirit of the room and the uses of it.”

Only one entry per person will be considered, and two names total can be submitted per entry. The winning name will be announced by the end of the semester.

Room 008 was renovated in March 2020 and features a stage, green room, pool tables, couches, and study spaces. For a refresher on what the space looks like, check out our photo story.
