Activities In The BJC To Keep You Sane During THON Weekend

Hanging with your org, watching performances, and doing the line dance are great ways to keep your energy high and pass the time during THON’s gaudy 46-hour stint. However, when breaks in the action fall into place, it’s easy to hit the wall and fall into a sleep-deprived slump.

Luckily, there are plenty of activities around the BJC concourse to do on your energizing loop around the concourse.

Prizes & Games Booth

Around portal 3, certain committees present a chance to compete in Mario Kart, Connect Four, and Jenga with the opportunity to win THON bags, phone wallets, and lanyards.

Kahoot Scavenger Hunt

As the name suggests, spectators can find 12 of these QR codes around the BJC and take a Kahoot trivia quiz at each. The goal is to gain as many points as possible by showing off your knowledge. At the end of THON 2023, players who scored the highest will receive a prize. Just remember to set your player name as your email address.

Wellness Activities Booth

Indulge in your love for arts and crafts with various coloring books as well as beads for friendship bracelets. The booth can be found at portal 26.

#BJC Photo Background

This crafty photography area is the perfect place to take some THON flicks or to even stare at something pretty while you wait to use the restroom. The light-up region resides right across from portal 9.

Xbox Consoles

Located across from portal 23, the TV has access to NBA 2K23 and a few other select games. Why not challenge a friend to a good ‘ol beatdown during the graveyard hours?
