Campus Recreation To Host Events In Celebration Of NIRSA Rec Day February 22

Penn State Campus Recreation will host a handful of events to celebrate the National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) Rec Day on Wednesday, February 22.

As a member of NIRSA, Penn State will celebrate the association’s founding by hosting various events to celebrate physical activity, wellness, and inclusion.

“The goal of this day for Penn State is to continue to bring awareness to and promote Campus Recreation facilities, programs, and services, as well as celebrate collegiate recreation globally,” Assistant Director of Campus Recreation, Laura Gilham, said in a release.

You can check out the schedule for Rec Day below:

  • Pickleball from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the IM Building.
  • Tabling from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the IM Building lobby.
  • 3-Point Shootout and Hot Shot Contest from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Court 2 in Gym 4 of the IM Building.
  • Cardio Dance Party from 7:15 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Gym 2 of the IM Building. Students must register online.

Participating students have a chance to snag a free Rec Day t-shirt and a giveaway item.
