Tenille Arts To Open For SPA Concert March 21

Penn State’s Student Programming Association (SPA) will host a free concert at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, in the HUB’s Alumni Hall. Country music singer Tenille Arts will open for the event, and the ~main performer~ will be announced at a later date.

Arts is best known for her 2018 performance of the original song “Moment of Weakness” on “The Bachelor.” The Canadian singer also performed “I Hate This” in 2019 and “Somebody Like That” in 2020.

One day after her 2019 “The Bachelor” performance, the song hit No. 1 on the U.S. and Canadian iTunes country charts, No. 6 in all-genre, and No. 2 in music video.

Arts has released three albums — “Rebel Child,” “Love, Heartbreak, & Everything in Between,” and most recently, “Girl to Girl.”

Rolling Stone named Arts one of its “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know” and described her style as “an edgy, Fearless-era Taylor Swift.”

Tickets will be available for students at 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, through OrgCentral.

The March 21 concert is free for Penn State students and funded by their student-initiated fee.
