Penn State Men’s & Women’s Lacrosse Ranked Within Top 20 Of Inside Lacrosse’s Weekly Poll
After a stunning upset at the hands of Marquette on Saturday, March 18, Penn State men’s lacrosse fell five spots in Inside Lacrosse’s national rankings.
The team now sits in the top 10 rankings heading into a stout slate of Big Ten opponents for its last five games. The Nittany Lions hold a 5-2 record before battling No. 2 Maryland on Saturday, March 25.
Along with the Terrapins, four of Penn State’s final five opponents are ranked within this week’s top 20. Ohio State sits at No. 24, Johns Hopkins holds the No. 8 spot, and Rutgers is No. 6. Michigan also received votes.
Penn State women’s lacrosse jumped five spots to No. 20 in the latest Inside Lacrosse poll on Monday.
The team pulled off a blistering upset over then-No. 14 Princeton in New Jersey on Saturday. After the win, the Nittany Lions improved to a 7-2 season record.
Penn State will travel to Pittsburgh to face the Panthers at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, before continuing conference play at home against Ohio State on Saturday, March 25.
