Penn State Women’s Lacrosse Climbs, Men’s Team Falls In Latest Poll

Both Penn State women’s and men’s lacrosse are ranked in the latest Inside Lacrosse rankings.

Penn State women’s lacrosse team is riding high on a five-game win streak, and it beat Ohio State by 10 goals in its last game. The women now boast a 9-2 record on the year, earning attention from the ranking committee, as the squad moved up two spots to No. 18 in the latest rankings.

The women’s lacrosse team has five more games to further increase its ranking before the end of the regular season.

After finding itself on the wrong end of a two-game skid, Penn State men’s lacrosse stepped down one spot in this week’s poll, now taking the No. 11 spot in the rankings.

The men’s team fell to Maryland by three goals its last time out, losing its last two games by a combined four goals. The Nittany Lions will try to get back to their winning ways with only four games left on the regular-season schedule.

The Penn State men’s lacrosse team will be back in action at noon on April 2 to take on Ohio State. The women’s team will battle Northwestern at 8 p.m. on March 30.
