Movin’ On Names Sofia Moussan 2024 Executive Director

The Movin On’ executive director is not movin’ on.

For just the second time ever, Movin’ On will have the same executive director for two consecutive years. Sofia Moussan, who is currently Movin’ On’s 2023 executive director, will remain in the same role for 2024, the organization announced Monday afternoon.

“I am extremely honored to have the opportunity to do this twice and I do not take the responsibility lightly,” Moussan said. “It is also really exciting that I get to work on the show that is meant to celebrate my own class of students as I will be a graduating senior next year.”

“Movin’ On is a show for the students by the students, and each year my mission is to show Penn State what that’s all about,” Moussan said.

Moussan, a junior pursuing a degree in public relations, has been involved with Movin’ On since her freshman year. Prior to her taking on the top role, she served as the director of operations and as a PROMO team member.

Under her tutelage, Movin On’ recently announced its 2023 lineup, which features Mellow Honey, UPSAHL, Neon Trees, COIN, and headliner J.I.D.

Movin’ On will take place on the last day of classes on Friday, April 28, at the IM Fields. Gates will open at 3:30 p.m., and attendees must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Penn State ID or government-issued ID to enter. The event is free to all attendees. You can learn more about the event by visiting Movin’ On’s website.
