Bryce Jordan Center To Host U.S. Wrestling Team Trials For 2024 Olympics

The Bryce Jordan Center will host the U.S. wrestling team trials for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

The team trials will take place on Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20, 2024. One winner from each of wrestling’s 18 weight classes will advance to represent the United States in the Olympics from August 5 through August 11 next year.

Penn State wrestling head coach Cael Sanderson is a former Olympian himself, having won a gold medal in the 2004 Games in Athens, Greece. He has since led Penn State to 10 national championships, creating one of the most dominant dynasties in the history of collegiate sports.

University Park will become only the second city in Pennsylvania to host a team trial since USA Wrestling became the sport’s governing body in 1983. Pittsburgh hosted the U.S. Freestyle Olympic Team Trials in 1992.  University Park will also become the 11th U.S. city to host the U.S. Olympic Team Trials.

Ticket information for the team trials will be announced on May 9.
