‘Bellisario College Chocolate Pretzel Crunch’ To Join Creamery Lineup May 1

Sometimes the news business is sweet, folks.

The Penn State Berkey Creamery announced the latest addition to its sweet list of flavor options — “Bellisario College Chocolate Pretzel Crunch.” The flavor is a rename of an existing Berkey Creamery flavor in honor of the college’s students that are set to graduate in a few weeks.

Bellisario’s namesake will arrive just in time for commencement, debuting on May 1.

“The creamery is a fun stop for anyone visiting Penn State, and there will be lots of reasons to be on campus this spring,” Bellisario Dean Marie Hardin said in a release. “We’re looking forward to giving the Bellisario College community another delicious excuse to visit the creamery.”

The rename is set to extend into June when Vivienne Bellisario will be recognized as an honorary alum of Penn State. This isn’t the first time the creamery has renamed flavors for special occasions, as both Penn State Homecoming and Penn State Global spearheaded brief rebrands in October.

“It’s always exciting to do something new,” said Jim Brown, assistant manager of the Creamery. “We’re pleased with the partnership and hope people try Bellisario College Chocolate Pretzel Crunch while it’s available.”

The new flavor will be available for purchase in its retail location, as well as for purchase online.
