Myles Dread Joins Penn State Alumni ‘The Basketball Tournament’ Team

Penn State men’s basketball alum Myles Dread has determined his next step in his basketball career, and it will be as a member of the Happy Valley Hoopers, Penn State alumni’s “The Basketball Tournament” team.

Dread is coming off of five seasons in the blue and white, where he leaves after appearing in 154 games and sinking several game-winners that Penn State fans will always remember. Even though he went through several transition periods, his loyalty to Penn State never wavered.

The Happy Valley Hoopers were created by John Harrar and consist of several big names from program history, including Tony Carr, Josh Reaves, Shep Garner, Mike Watkins, Jamari Wheeler, and many more. Games will be played in late July, though it is unclear when and where Harrar and Co. will play at this time.

More and more players from the 2019-20 team have signed on to play in TBT, creating a reunion for the team that would have made the NCAA Tournament if it weren’t for the COVID-19 pandemic.
