Penn State Football Adds Former NFL Assistant Ola Adams As Analyst

Penn State football added former Denver Broncos assistant secondary coach and Villanova defensive coordinator Ola Adams to its staff as a defensive analyst and analytics coordinator Wednesday.

Adams joined the Wildcats’ coaching staff in 2015 as a running backs coach before moving to special teams coordinator and cornerbacks coach from 2017 to 2018. After working with the cornerbacks, Adams was named Villanova’s defensive coordinator, where he stayed for seven years until his departure after the 2021 season.

Most recently, Adams worked as the assistant defensive backs coach for the Denver Broncos throughout the 2022 season.

The Reston, Virginia, native played Division II collegiate football at Concord in West Virginia as a defensive back. He was an All-WVIAC conference first-team honoree and team captain in 2007.

The Nittany Lions have now added three analysts to the coaching staff ahead of the 2023 season. Along with Adams, Penn State now has offensive analyst Calvin Lowry and special teams analyst Eric Sachse.
