Report: Penn State Hoops Alum Jalen Pickett Signs Four-Year Deal With Denver Nuggets

Penn State men’s basketball point guard Jalen Pickett reportedly inked his rookie deal with the Denver Nuggets Wednesday, according to Hoops Hype’s Michael Scotto.

Pickett reportedly signed on to a four-year, $8.3 million deal with a guaranteed initial three years.

Pickett, who was recently assigned jersey No. 24, was selected by the Nuggets with the No. 32 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft on June 22. The point guard became the first Nittany Lion to hear their name called in the NBA Draft since Tony Carr was drafted by the New Orleans Pelicans in 2018.

Andrew Funk will join Pickett in the Mile High City on an NBA Summer League deal, too. Fellow Nittany Lion Seth Lundy was drafted with the No. 46 overall selection in the 2023 NBA Draft but has yet to ink a deal with the Atlanta Hawks.
