Penn State Student Parking Registration To Begin August 14

Now that you’ve fought the Ticketmaster war for Penn State football tickets, it’s nearly time for the Penn State parking battle.

Penn State Transportation Services announced that registration for student parking for the 2023-24 school year would begin Monday, August 14, and conclude Friday, August 18.

Students planning to register for on-campus parking must have completed at least 29.1 credits, excluding commuter, graduate, and pre-approved first-year students. More parking eligibility details can be found here.

The registration schedule for student parking is as follows:

Monday, August 14:

  • 10 a.m.: Eastview Terrace residents (lot 22)
  • Noon: Nittany Apartments residents (lot 42)
  • 2 p.m.: South and Pollock Halls residents (lot 81)

Tuesday, August 15:

  • 10 a.m.: East and North Halls residents (lot 82)
  • Noon: West Halls residents (Nittany Deck)
  • 2 p.m. West and North Halls residents (West Deck)

Wednesday, August 16:

  • 10 a.m.: East Halls, North Halls, Pollock Halls, South Halls, Nittany Apartments, Eastview Terrace residents (lot 83)
  • Noon: Off-campus student long-term parking (lot 43)
  • 2 p.m.: Off-campus student long-term parking (West Deck)

Thursday, August 17:

  • 10 a.m.: Off-campus student commuter parking (SCR)

Friday, August 18:

  • 10 a.m.: White Course Apartments residents (lot 11)
  • 10 a.m.: Approved first-year students

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) parking is available, pending a supplemental permit registration, but the general student parking registration must be completed before the ADA application. Students seeking these permits should reach out to the Transportation Services Office to gain access to the additional forms.

Students interested in short-term parking permits can also register for those permits in person at the Transportation Services Office.
