Campus Steaks To Open August 28

Campus Steaks, located at 119 S. Pugh St., is set to open its doors on Monday, August 28, in the former location of Bradley’s Cheesesteaks and Hoagies, according to a Facebook post.

The cheesesteak shop will offer Philadelphia-inspired cheesesteaks, homemade chips, chicken steaks, fries, and more according to a sign in its window. Despite the grand opening date listed as August 21 at the storefront, Campus Steaks will open the following week. The sign was a “small typo,” per Campus Steaks’ Facebook page.

As listed on the door, Campus Steaks will operate six days a week, including late-night hours on the weekend. The shop will be closed on Tuesdays, but serve State College from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. from Thursday to Saturday. The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays, too.

Cheesesteak options will include Philadelphia-based beef or chicken, Liscio’s rolls, and an assortment of sides such as fried onions and cheese.

Campus Steaks also plans to create catering packages to appeal to Penn State tailgaters in addition to its grab-and-go choices within the restaurant.
