Penn State Men’s Hockey Releases 2023-24 Big Ten Schedule

Who’s ready for some Penn State men’s hockey?

Weeks after dropping its non-conference slate, the Nittany Lions released their 2023-24 Big Ten regular-season schedule Monday.

Penn State has seven non-conference series, beginning on the road against Long Island on October 7, before its Big Ten schedule begins with a home series against Notre Dame from November 4 to 5. After their series against the Fighting Irish, the Nittany Lions have back-to-back matchups on the road. The first is at Michigan State from November 10 to 11, while the second is across the state at Michigan from November 17 to 18.

Penn State will then host Minnesota from December 1 to 2 after a lengthy break from Big Ten play. This year’s schedule differs from previous ones, as the Nittany Lions hosted the Golden Gophers during THON Weekend the last two seasons.

After a trip to Wisconsin from December 8 to 9, Penn State doesn’t have any more conference play until the 2024, when it hosts Michigan State from January 12 to 13. In perhaps the toughest part of the schedule, the blue and white will hit the road for two of three weeks to face Notre Dame and Minnesota, with a home series against Ohio State scheduled between those matchups from January 26 to 27.

Although Penn State doesn’t host Minnesota on THON Weekend, the Nittany Lions will still play at home. In one of the biggest home matchups of the year, Michigan will come to Pegula Ice Arena from February 16 to 17. Penn State will have one final home series from February 23 to 24 against Wisconsin to wrap up play from Pegula.

To close out the regular season, the Nittany Lions will take on the Buckeyes in Columbus from March 1 to 2. In total, there are 32 games on the schedule.

Single-game tickets will hit the market on Thursday, September 14.
