Lady Lions Release 2023-24 Non-Conference Schedule

Lady Lions basketball is just around the corner, folks.

Penn State women’s basketball announced its 2023-24 non-conference schedule Tuesday morning. The announcement comes three months after the team announced its slate of in-conference opponents for the season.

The Lady Lions have 11 non-conference matchups, beginning on November 7 at the Bryce Jordan Center against Bucknell. Head coach Carolyn Kieger’s team has two more home games after this, coming on November 10 against Navy and November 13 against Kansas.

After the first three home games, Penn State plays three in the Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Tournament in Nassau, The Bahamas. The first is on November 16 against St. John’s, with the latter two coming on November 20 against Oklahoma State and November 22 against USC.

Penn State’s schedule continues with two home games on November 26 against Providence, and November 29 against Radford.

The Lady Lions have an away game on December 4 at West Virginia, but then have to wait until December 17 for their next non-conference game, which is at home against St. Francis. The blue and white conclude their non-conference regular season schedule on December 20 at home against Central Connecticut.

Penn State went 14-17 overall last season with a 4-14 Big Ten record. Makenna Marisa and Shay Ciezki led the team with 35.4 and 31.3 points per game, respectively. Kieger, meanwhile, returns for her fifth season in Happy Valley.
