Jana Marie Foundation Set To Host Philosophy of Hope Concert September 29

The Jana Marie Foundation is set to host its fifth annual Philosophy of Hope concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 29, at the State Theatre.

The concert will showcase dozens of local musicians and will feature uplifting songs written by singer, songwriter, and author Ken Baxter. From Molly Countermine, Chris Bell, and the University Park campus a cappella group, Blue in the Face, the event will host a wide range of State College talent.

Every song will be centered around the Jana Marie Foundation’s goal of celebrating life and emphasizing the importance of strength during challenging times.

Tickets for the concert can be found here

The Jana Marie Foundation was originally founded in memory of Jana Marie Vicere, a Penn State graduate who took her own life in 2011. In her memory, the foundation strives to “spark conversations, build connections, and promote mental well-being among young people and their communities.”

The organization focuses on providing mental health resources and promoting emotional resiliency and well-being within the local State College community.
