Penn State Campus Rec To Host Ice Cream Mile October 1

Penn State Campus Recreation will host an Ice Cream Mile at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, at the Intramural Fields.

Participants will run a lap and then eat a cup of ice cream. The process will repeat for a total of three laps at the IM Fields until a mile is reached. Run time and ice cream consumption together will calculate the overall total time, and Campus Rec staff will measure time with stopwatches.

The event will be open to the first 250 students who sign up. Registration costs $10 and includes a t-shirt and finisher sticker. Check-in for the Ice Cream Mile will begin at 1:30 p.m. and the race will begin at 2 p.m.

Those interested can sign up here, and registration closes at midnight on Friday, September 29.
