Five Playlists For Every Penn State Bye Week Mood

With a bye week on the horizon, a weekend without football will leave a lot of time to do who knows what.

We figured that from the sky highs to the lowest lows, student life can be tough with its ups and downs, and this football-free weekend might be making you feel a certain way. No matter how you’re feeling, Onward State’s playlists will always be there for you.

Here are some playlists for when you’re feeling your best, worst, and anything in between.

Stressed About The Future

Feeling a little lost lately and aren’t sure about what the future holds? Take a deep breath, press play on these songs, and you’ll feel better.

From “Vienna” by Billy Joel to “Keep Your Head Up” by Andy Grammer, we’re hoping this playlist will take your mind off things for a little while.

Feeling Homesick

Has New Jersey been calling your name lately? We get it, there are times when Penn State just doesn’t feel like home. From “Too Good At Goodbyes” by Sam Smith to “Hey There Delilah” by the Plain White T’s, whenever you’re missing home, wherever that is, listen to these songs.

A Chill Night

The middle of the semester can be rough, and sometimes a relaxed night in is exactly what the doctor ordered. From “Candy Paint” by Post Malone” to “Something in the Orange” by Zach Bryan, head over to your dorm room, kick back, and let us take care of the music.

Admittedly, it is a little Noah Kahan-heavy.

Missing Your Childhood

Want a sense of elementary and middle school nostalgia? Something about those early 2000s hits really hit the spot sometimes. With all-time classics like “22” by Taylor Swift and “Classic” by MKTO, this playlist will take you back to the days of classroom parties and having way too many wristbands.

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST

They do call this place Happy Valley for a reason. With “Just Wanna Rock” by Lil Uzi Vert and “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers, the school spirit will start flowing with this playlist. Keep your head up, football is back in Beaver Stadium in one week.
