Downtown State College To Offer Free Parking For Holiday Season

For yet another year, downtown State College is launching free parking for visitors throughout the holiday season.

From now until December 17, folks can park for free for up to two hours in any downtown parking garage, including Beaver, Pugh, and Fraser garages. Additionally, meter and lot parking will be free from 5 to 10 p.m. daily.

Also until December 17, visitors to downtown State College can visit 127 S. Fraser Street to pick up free CATA bus tokens any time from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The tokens are provided courtesy of the State College Downtown Improvement District and are limited to two tokens per person per visit.

From December 18 to January 2, parking will be free for an unlimited time in garages, lots, and at metered locations.

The efforts to continue an annual trend of offering free holiday parking are put forth by the Downtown State College Improvement District.
