Penn State Football Remains Ranked No. 10 In Final College Football Playoff Poll

At last, the final rankings have arrived.

Amid the shakeup in the top six, Penn State football stayed put at No. 10 in the College Football Playoff committee’s final rankings of the season.

The Nittany Lions remained in place after not playing this week. Additionally, Penn State will go to Atlanta to take on No. 11 Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl. It will be the program’s first appearance in the game.

Penn State was initially tabbed No. 11 in the first College Football Playoff poll of the season. It climbed to No. 10, then fell to No. 12, but climbed back to No. 10 over the following two weeks. The Nittany Lions remained ranked No. 10 in the final AP poll of the season, too.

Penn State finished with a 10-2 record for the second consecutive season. Its only losses were a 20-12 rout by Ohio State in Columbus in October and a 24-15 defeat by Michigan in November, which effectively ended the Nittany Lions’ hopes of making the College Football Playoff.
