Your Guide To Sending THON 2024 Dancer Mail

THON 2024 is almost here, folks.

In just under one month, on Friday, February 16, hundreds of enthusiastic dancers will fill the Bryce Jordan Center and begin their long-awaited 46-hour dance marathon in pursuit of a cure for pediatric cancer.

Despite the excitement surrounding the event, standing for 46 hours is much easier said than done. Dancers are guaranteed to need a little extra motivation and support to keep them moving throughout the weekend. Luckily, dancer mail is designed to provide this added comfort and much-needed inspiration for your favorite dancers during THON.

Dancers can receive letters and packages from their friends and family during the duration of THON Weekend. Whether it be a heartwarming letter or a card game, dancer mail provides a small but mighty amount of encouragement during the 46 hours.

To make sure your friend or family member receives your mail, follow our guide below.

Deadline

The deadline to submit dancer mail is Wednesday, February 7. All packages and letters can be dropped off in person between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. from January 22 to February 7 in HUB room 324.

To ensure it reaches the correct dancer, all mail should include the dancer’s name, dance number, and the sender’s name. The package can’t be larger than 14″ x 14″ x 8″, which is approximately the size of a standard shoe box.

Addressing Your Mail

If you can’t drop off the mail in person, no worries. Just make sure to postmark your mail by the February 7 deadline, and address it using the format listed below.

What To Send

Participating as a dancer in THON Weekend is no easy feat, so sending words of encouragement, motivation, and all-around positivity is the safest bet. Whether it be a short message or a heartwarming care package, anything to keep the dancers inspired and occupied is sure to be greatly appreciated.

Reminisce on your favorite inside jokes via letter or send games and puzzles to help keep them alert throughout the weekend. No matter what you decide to send, any piece of mail will go a long way in keeping dancers strong as they dance for a cure.
