THON 2024 Showcase Set For January 21

This year’s annual THON Showcase is set to take place at 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, in Schwab Auditorium. Students will have the opportunity to show off their diverse talents and compete for a spot to perform at THON Weekend.

The yearly event offers performers a chance to win money for their organization’s THON fundraising total and perform onstage at THON Weekend. Tickets are available online or in person at the THON Store.

The THON 2024 Showcase is sponsored by Dunkin’. In the lobby of Schwab Auditorium, Dunkin’ will provide opportunities for community engagement including a photo booth, Dunkin’ prizes, and free samples.

“On behalf of Dunkin’, we are honored to be the title sponsor of the 2024 THON Showcase and can’t wait to see all of the performances,” Dunkin’ Associate Field Marketing Manager Jillian Fives said. “Supporting this incredible event aligns with Dunkin’s commitment to positively impacting the communities we serve. Together, we aim to contribute to the fight against childhood cancer and bring hope to those in need.”

The year’s show includes a lineup of 14 acts including acapella groups, bands, and a sign language performance. The following acts will appear in the event:

  • Rince na Leon
  • The Statesman
  • Whiplash
  • Justin Stanek
  • Penn State Dance Alliance
  • Nicolette Cook
  • Orchesis Dance Company
  • JTime
  • Luxurious Lionesses
  • Sign Language Org
  • Nittany Dance Project
  • John Kailian

The judges’ panel is made up of community leaders including THON Executive Director Will Vincent, Movin’ On Executive Director Sofia Moussan, and Homecoming Executive Director Paige Myers. Rounding out the panel is student influencer Katie Feeney, who is representing event sponsor Dunkin’.

At last year’s showcase, Penn State JaDhoom, the university’s only Bollywood fusion dance team, took home first prize.
