LionPATH Releases New Class Search Update For Students

The mad dash to craft the perfect schedule and snatch up valuable classes is a common event shared among college students across the nation. Penn State is no different and offers over 600 programs and 11,000 courses.

LionPATH’s initial class search system had its flaws with small fonts, messy drop-down boxes, and previous search criteria not being saved. After feedback from students and academic advisors, Penn State updated LionPath with a smoother and streamlined class search process.

The new class search still has the same drop-down checkboxes as the original but with a more organized and easy-to-read system. In addition to the updated look, the most notable feature is the ability to search for classes based on keywords. Not only can students search basic keywords like the course’s program, days offered, and major, but they can also find classes through its specific course names and instructors. The user’s search history is saved, so there’s no risk of losing progress after reading a class description.

The new enrollment feature can be found on LionPATH’s home screen under the “find classes and enroll” button. The existing “class search” function will still be available to users.

More information on the new features can be found on the LionPATH Support website.
