Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey Addresses THON 2024

Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey made an appearance at THON 2024 on early Saturday afternoon. The senior senator has held office in Pennsylvania since 2007.

“I want to thank everyone here for what you’re doing for our children and for their families,” Casey said. “I’m honored to be with you tonight, today, and this afternoon again, and I want to thank you for inviting me again.”

Casey was the 2014 recipient of the Friend of Penn State Legislative Award. The democratic senator aims to raise wages for the middle class and increase learning opportunities and health care for children.

“I can’t tell you how much America appreciates what you’re doing here at THON, and there is nothing like it in the world, and you should be very proud,” Casey said. “God bless your work. No work is more important than lifting up our children and families. God bless you.”

Casey was born and raised in Scranton and attended Holy Cross.
