Penn State Men’s Volleyball Drops One Spot In AVCA Poll
Penn State men’s volleyball fell one spot to No. 10 in the latest AVCA poll released Monday. The Nittany Lions held the No. 9 spot for five consecutive weeks before the drop.
Penn State returned from a four-game road trip in California with only one win against No. 16 CSUN as the group came up short against No. 2 Long Beach State, No. 3 UCLA, and No. 11 USC.
However, John Kerr returned to Happy Valley with an EIVA Offensive Player of the Week honor as a result of his performances last week. Against CSUN, USC, and UCLA, Kerr recorded 53 kills, three aces, four blocks, 13 digs, and hit .333.
Kerr and the Nittany Lions head to Saint Francis to face the Red Flash at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 16.
