Report: Penn State Hoops Guard Bragi Guðmundsson Enters Transfer Portal

Penn State men’s basketball guard Bragi Guðmundsson entered the transfer portal, per Verbal Commits.

Guðmundsson is the first Nittany Lion to enter the portal following the conclusion of the regular season and was the team’s only freshman.

Guðmundsson spent just one season at Penn State, appearing in seven games. The guard played a total of only 12 minutes across his appearances. During this past season, Guðmundsson didn’t have a role with the Nittany Lions and finished the season scoring six points and grabbing two total rebounds.

Before joining Mike Rhoades’ squad in Happoy Valley, Guðmundsson played for U.M.F. Grindavik in the Iceland-Subway League. If Guðmundsson doesn’t return to Penn State, it’ll open a spot for Rhoades to add a scholarship player to next year’s team through the transfer portal.
