Lambda Theta Alpha To Hold ‘Take Back The Night’ April 4

Penn State’s Beta Lambda chapter of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin sorority will hold its annual “Take Back the Night” celebration at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, at Old Main. The event is meant to recognize sexual assault survivors and listen to their stories with a march around Penn State’s campus.

This is an annual event for its chapter in support of its philanthropy. It is sponsored by Centre Safe and the Gender Equity Center.

The event is an annual tradition from Lambda Theta Alpha which has held the walk since 2010. Since then, the walk has been one of the first events of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.

Along with “Take Back the Night,” there are several other events taking place throughout the month of April to recognize sexual assault and prevention. Programming throughout April is also sponsored by the Gender Equity Center and includes events like concerts and art installations.
