Onward State Presents: Best ‘State College Bands & DJs’ Bracket: Elite Eight

Some people have hobbies. We vote on our favorite State College bands and DJs.

As the NCAA Tournament rolls on, the best State College bands and DJs bracket challenge intensifies. A chain of upsets ensued, and eight bands remain in their quest to become Onward State’s bracket champion.

Let’s take a look at the Sweet Sixteen winners and where we stand heading into the Elite Eight. You can vote for your favorite band by using this Google Form or at the end of this post.

Blue & White Region

In a victory as close as ever, JR Mangan Band squeaked out 51.3% of the vote over No. 1-seeded My Hero Zero in the Sweet Sixteen.

No. 2 Anchor&Arrow will challenge JR and Veronica following a considerable victory over No. 3 OK Otter.

In a battle of the Cafe 210 West mainstays, only one can emerge victorious.

Dear Old State Region

No. 1 Adam and the Armadillos continued its bracket dominance with an 11-point victory over No. 4 Biscuit Jam. The country music cover band will battle No. 2 Go Go Gadjet, who dominated No. 6 Shallow 9 with 70.1% of the Sweet Sixteen vote.

Nittany Lion Region

In a shocking upset, the No. 4 Skoal Brothers absolutely rolled over No. 1-seeded DJ Yemi with 74% of the vote. Oh, how the mighty fall.

The Skoal Brothers will face off against No. 3 Ted and the HiFis after Ted and Molly supporters pulled off a 15-point upset over No. 2 Lowjack.

We Are Region

In similar fashion to the Skoal Brothers, No. 5 Velveeta put together 70.1% of the vote to shock No. 1 Piano Fight Club. The five seed will take on the No. 2-seeded Corner Brothers after a tight victory over Donny Burns and the 3rd Degree.
