Men Against Violence Walk Set For April 7

The Gender Equity Center is partnering with Penn State’s Interfraternity Council for its annual Men Against Violence (MAV) Walk, which will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 7.

Registration for the event will start at 1:30 p.m. on the HUB Lawn where participants can receive a free t-shirt and create signs for the walk. At 2 p.m., the event will begin with keynote speeches before walkers start the mile-long route across campus. Male participation is encouraged, but the event is open to all gender identities.

MAV advocates for all gender identities that fall victim to sexual violence. The group encourages men to play a positive role in making a change by learning prevention efforts and advocating for those who can’t advocate for themselves.

Those wishing to register for the event can sign up here.
